IGNI’s songbird is now open!

Songbird is a more casual, Northern Thai restaurant with an a la carte sharing menu.

In the north of Thailand, you’ll find less curries, coconut and seafood as it is further from the ocean. Without the use of coconut to soften the heat as they do in the south, chilli is more prominent and noticeable.

The menu focuses on BBQ meats, chilli, and acids developed through pickling and fermentation. These elements all combine to create a beautiful balance of sour, sweet, salty and heat.

Sticky rice is king in this part of the world, and is the key vessel with which to enjoy all flavours and textures with your hands!

Feeding Kids

While we encourage parents to bring your kids to come and enjoy this food, please be aware that there is no children’s menu, and that each dishes is a powerfully-flavoured journey through the North of Thailand.

Parental discretion is advised before booking in with your kids.

Coeliac / Dairy

The entire menu is gluten and dairy free.

Shellfish & seafood

There are plenty of options for those with an aversion or allergy to anything from the sea.

Nut Allergies

There are many options to enjoy while avoiding these, though nuts do feature throughout the cuisine.

Alliums

The menu does heavily feature onion and garlic. We would not recommend Songbird to anyone with a fructose intolerance.
